What if I have just one child (up to 22 kg)?
For one child weighing up to 22 kg, you can simply use a child seat on a regular city bike (+€3). This is often easier and more practical than a longtail or cargo bike for single child trips.
Can longtail bikes carry 3 children?
Yes! Our longtail bikes are designed to safely carry up to 3 children on the extended rear rack (combined weight up to 150 kg). Perfect for families with multiple kids aged 4+.
What's the difference between a longtail and cargo bike?
Longtail: Children sit behind you on an extended rear rack. Cargo bike (Muli): Younger children (3-5 years) or dogs sit in a box in front where you can see them. Both available with electric assist!
Do I need electric or regular longtail?
Regular longtail: If you're an experienced cyclist and planning only city rides around Bruges, the standard longtail will work fine.
Electric longtail (recommended): For a full day of cycling or longer trips (e.g. to Bruges countryside or to the coast), we strongly recommend the electric version – it makes riding with passengers effortless!
Are helmets included?
Child helmets are available free on request. Adult helmets can be provided – just ask when booking.
Can an adult sit on the back of a longtail?
Yes! Longtails can carry one adult passenger (or two teenagers) comfortably on the rear rack. Great for couples or friends exploring together. We recommend the electric version for easy riding.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes! Our Muli cargo bike is perfect for dogs. Your furry friend rides safely in the front cargo box (max 60 kg). Many customers love exploring Bruges with their dogs this way!
Is the Muli cargo bike easy to handle?
The Muli has slightly different handling compared to regular bikes (like any cargo bike). If you're a confident, experienced cyclist, you'll adapt quickly. If you have limited cycling experience, we recommend sticking to regular bikes or longtails to avoid accidents – safety first!
Do I need to book in advance?
We have a limited fleet, and demand is high from April to September. We strongly recommend booking ahead, especially for family bikes (longtails and cargo bikes). Walk-ins are welcome but availability is not guaranteed during peak season.
Are bikes always available?
We don't have a huge fleet, and with high demand from April through September, we strongly recommend reserving your bike in advance. This ensures you get the exact bike you need for your Bruges adventure.
Can I take the bikes outside Bruges?
Yes! You're welcome to explore the Bruges countryside, nearby villages, or even ride to the coast. Perfect for day trips!
What do I need to bring for rental?

Where do I pick up and return the bikes?
All bikes must be picked up and returned at our shop: Langestraat 181a, Bruges. We do not offer delivery or collection services for rentals.
What if I need to return after closing time?
No problem! You can return the bike outside shop hours. You'll receive instructions when you pick up the bike on how to safely return it after hours.
Can I pick up a bike outside opening hours?
Only by prior arrangement and with prepayment. Contact us when making your booking request and we'll provide details on out-of-hours pickup options.
